The girls had been sitting in the room in absolute silence.
Tamiko looked at all three of them.
"Sol Blue... if Rin and Asuka have been here before- what am I thinking... " thought Tamiko.
Tamiko opened her mouth and asked the obvious:
"Do you think all four of us have been here before?"
Asuka looked up at Tamiko glad that her friend had broken the uneasy silence.
"I know so. The moment we fell through the hole I knew something was up. It was strange and familiar - even you guys- like a childhood memory... but not as pleasant." started Miyuki.
Rin looked up at Miyuki who had stood up and was beginning to pace.
Blue -2- Rebirth
Rin, Tamiko, Miyuki and Asuka where now standing in a row, from tallest to shortest, in a large hangar.
They were dressed in the cadet uniform of the place they had for the past nine months known as home- the place proudly referred to as Sol Blue.
Hours of training and drills had made the years they had spent in primary and middle school seem more distant than either of the four would have admitted. It had been so easy to forget the days spent studying, chatting and passing notes- now they recited the academy anthem of Sol Blue as if they had been there for longer than nine months- perhaps for years.

"Will you move your foot- it's in my face!" said Miyuki as she shifted out from under Asuka.
Above the strewn rainbow-coloured bodies, that lay in the depths of the newly created hole, was a deep blue sky. It was the kind of sky that was neither day nor night. It was clear - rich- wide and most of all blue.
"Anyone hurt?" asked Rin, the first to get back into some kind of human shape.
They had landed about 7 metres down into the ground.
The ground, which had been previously whole, had been part of the hiking trail they were walking on whilst on their 'unwanted' Spring Vacation in the no-mans land that was the Uru Mountains
